Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body. Reflexology involves massaging and manipulating these areas on the feet to encourage relaxation and the easing of tension by encouraging the free flow of energy.

Why do we use reflexology?

Reflexology is a healthy non-invasive way to help the body and mind achieve homeostasis and return to its own natural pattern.

More and more people are now looking for natural ways to help themselves contend with busy lifestyles and varying emotions.

A reflexology treatment begins with a thorough health, diet and lifestyle consultation, and an examination of the feet. The treatment begins with some general relaxation techniques, followed by a precise thumb and finger technique to apply pressure to the reflex zones on the soles of the feet.

Reflexology is not ticklish as firm pressure is used. If a part of the body is out of balance, the corresponding area on the feet may feel tender during the treatment, this is an important sign to the Reflexologist.

Reflexology can aim to help the many systems of the body in order for them to compliment and aid one another. It is recognized that the body can become out of balance and dysfunction or suffer from disease, reflexology treatments can help re-establish the homeostasis on physiological, psychological and spiritual levels.
