Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine for a naturally healthy life

What is Herbal Medicine?

Herbal medicine is a fantastic bespoke and natural form of primary healthcare. It is appropriate for most of the conditions for which you would visit your GP.

Herbal medicine works with the body’s natural defence systems in a gentle and well-tolerated way, to provide long-term relief from both physical and mental disorders. Patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, can benefit from Herbal Medicine.

Those already receiving treatment from the Doctor may also be helped, and are prescribed only herbs which do not adversely interact with other medications.

How does it work?

Within her practice Caroline (The Willow Tree Medical Herbalist), has integrated knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications which enable her to provide a holistic treatment that is tailored specifically for your individual needs and requirements.

Her practice is based on the psycho-social module of health, which takes into account your physical, emotional and spiritual needs, rather than just addressing your symptoms.

This is achieved by using remedies, which are made up of whole plant extract to help the body to correct imbalances and heal itself, combined with her training, which enables Caroline to look beyond and beneath the obvious, to find the root cause of the problem.

To sum up her approach she treats the INDIVIDUAL not the SYMPTOM.

How is it made?

Caroline, The Willow Tree Medical Herbalist, has her own herbal pharmacy.

She makes up your prescription using 9 herbal tinctures, by hand, herself, which are bespoke to YOUR needs and requirements.

Herbal teas, capsules and creams are also prescribed and made by Caroline specifically for you – nothing is bought off the shelf.
